Job Completed!

Each year our workers leave our signature on a cross hidden somewhere in the building that we have worked on. This year the cross was drawn on the back of the very last piece of sheet rock that we installed.

Wednesday

All the wall board is up in the big room.

Pictures From Bible Club

Tuesday was dry. After some early confusion two groups of Bible Club met for a great time of learning and fun.

Monday

Construction work began on Monday morning after a time of prayer. First insulation was installed to the ceiling area and then sheet rock went up on the ceiling and walls. By the end of the day about half of the sheet rock in the big room was secured and some tape and bedding had begun.

The weather was cooled by rain most of the morning which helped with the work but interfered with plans for backyard Bible clubs around the community. The theme of all our mission trips has been "stay flexible" so plans were changed while some local folks gathered kids in a van to bring to the church building where the VBS could be held indoors.

We should have VBS pictures tomorrow.

Saturday

After getting settled in our motel we had a short meeting to set up our schedule for the week-end.



Tomorrow we worship with the folks at Coon Creek.

Thursday morning Ben and Bobbie Mosley are driving to Collins to inspect the work there and start making plans for our crew to begin on Monday morning. Ben is a great asset with early planning so that materials can be in place ready for the work to begin on Monday morning.

The bus and trailer with our equipment will leave Grandview at 7 am Saturday morning. We will worship with the church at Coon Creek on Sunday and get acquainted with the membership there. Plans will be formulated for some type of VBS activities for children in the community during the following week.

New Vision

The pews from First Baptist are being put to good use by the members of New Vision Family Fellowship in Mesquite. Several of our men have been helping New Vision remodel their building. We built stud walls, installed insulation and sheet rock.
